As part of my internship, I went to Los Angeles to go to the CBS station. My contact there used to be my mom's cameraman at NBC. He currently works as the cameraman for Entertainment Tonight and Insider. Not only was I able to watch them film it, but one of the editors, Karlo, agreed to let me watch him edit one of the pieces. After, I got to tour the rest of the lot.
I learned that I don't want to go into that field. When Karlo edits, he has to put music, graphics, and other stuff to "jazz" up the piece. In contrast, Enrique just gives the story straight. I also didn't really like all of the checks in place. Before airing, Karlo's pieces gets reviewed by others three separate times. Enrique's only gets checked once.
